PSLT - Portable Sign Language Translator

PSLT (Portable Sign Language Translator)

Welcome to this website, which is for all those interested in the PSLT, its development, its use, and its community-based improvement. We hope that will become the social network of the PSLT user community. Together we can make it happen: post your ideas and suggestions in the forum, we will do our best to improve the website and its content day by day.

This is a virtual meeting place where potential and actual PSLT users can influence the PSLT development, adoption, and improvement in a number of different ways. Here we can discuss a wide range of topics that are relevant and interesting for this community. Everybody can contribute with proposals, recommendations, constructive criticism, customisable sign dictionaries, and other support materials that can be useful to the PSLT community and beyond.

  • The Info section is where you can get a general understanding of what the PSLT is and how it works, watching signed explanations and podcasts or reading papers and posts.
  • The FAQ section is where you can read specific answers to a range of Frequently Asked Questions about the PSLT that we get either by email or through the forum.
  • The Blog section is where you can read news and thoughts about the PSLT, written by project members and other invited contributors.
  • The Forum section (moderated by the PSLT project team) is where you and us can post and discuss PSLT relevant topics and upload relevant materials we all want to share.
  • The Links section is where you can find an articulated collection of links to other websites of interest to our virtual community.

PSLT development is funded by the Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) sponsored by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) and the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) and managed by JISC TechDis, a leading UK advisory service on technology and inclusion.
